Taylor Swift must be loving all the attention she's getting for the promotion of her new album "1989". She claims it's her best work to date and I'm curious to find out if she's right. And for a girl who can reach number 1 on iTunes with only 8 seconds of noise, TayTay isn't doing bad at all! After "Shake It Off" and "Out Of The Woods", Swifties around the world can hold their breaths since Taylor dropped another track this week. Life has been treating her well since she moved to the Big Apple, so her latest single "Welcome To New York" is a tribute to her new hometown of NYC. Co-written by Ryan Tedder, the track is dipped in '80s synths, where I was at one point just waiting for A-ha or Duran Duran to start singing! :p The cookie cutter Taylor Swift is gone, that's for sure. It's a song about making your dreams come true and all the fabulosity of this world capital. Although the true New Yorkers may just be like : "Go home Taylor Swift, you're drunk!" :p Listen to the throwback song below. |
