Remember the days when Take That stole our hearts in the nineties by crooning they wanted us back for good? Since then Robbie Williams has gone out to build a succesfull solo career and the band split up. But in 2006, they came back as a quartet with a couple of albums that weren't all that bad. Today, it's 2014 and the boys have been reduced from an original quintet to a trio. And the trio is back with new single "These Days", straight off their new and seventh album "III" (very fitting title, isn't it?) out on December 1st. "These Days" is superpoppy and delivers an instant feeling of happiness. They still have their 90's boyband thing going on, but the track is so well updated with the rest of todays pop landscape, that I can totally picture One Direction or 5 Seconds Of Summer singing this tune. I was honestly pleasantly surprised by this! UPDATE : now the fellas have also released a music video and it's one of the most bizarre clips I've ever seen. There are just no words to explain this. It's weird, it's cooky, but so much fun! Watch below. |
