For those of you who didn't catch the memo : David Guetta is back and with a vengeance! The French DJ received a lot of criticism these past few years (I admit, I was one of those critics) for changing his style way to drastically and not scoring as many hits as he used to. But then came "Lovers On The Sun", which is a smash hit across the globe at the moment. And Guetta is obviously not finished yet, as he has just released a new single called "Dangerous", featured on his new album "Listen" (out on November 21st). The track once again has vocals by Sam Martin, who was also featured on "Lovers On The Sun". The song itself is suprisingly un-Guetta like, though! It opens with a classical piano melody (it's like listening to Mozart!), before turning into a huge spacey pop smasher. UPDATE : the music video has finally arrived! The clip is a 7 minute long shortfilm, inspired by Ayrton Senna and F1 racing. Watch Guetta face off against some famous drivers below. |

It's been a rough year for French DJ David Guetta: he separated from his wife after more than 20 years of marriage and his music seems to not do as well as it used to. Seems like his EDM star is starting to fade, no? That might explain the radical style changes we've been hearing from him lately. The producer is going for a more grittier electro-house sound with hard(-er) hitting beats. His music used to be quite accessible for the big masses, but I find it harder and harder to listen to. Case in point : his new single "Bad", a collaboration with Dutch hardstyle Duo Showtek and Australian dance diva Vassy. A pretty agressive floorfiller if you ask me: very in your face! The song may not be top of the line, but if you're a fan of The Walking Dead, then the lyric video will blow your mind! It's a popart style animated video preparing for the Zombie Apocalypse. And it’s awesome. If didn't know any better, I could swear it was the real music video! The story revolves around a zombie heroine hunting for food, finding the man (or corpse) of her dreams and while she's at it, escaping the military. AND there’s an amusing dance sequince that pays homage to Michael Jackson' s iconic “Thriller” video. Watch the zombified goodness below! |
