Those guys were a huge part of my childhood, scoring hit after hit. When I was 9 years old, I even choreographed a dance routine to "Everybody Get Up" for a school performance :p And yes, I admit, I had a huuuuge crush on blue-eyed Ritchie back in the day. ^^
I picked 5ive for todays post, because they had such a huge impact on the 90's and the boyband concept in general in the UK and Europe. Take That was known for their great and sweet popsongs, but they didn't really have an edge to them (aside from having Robbie Williams in the band). But 5ive had a much more rebellious and tougher image, with their rougher sound and raps incorporated into their songs.
I absolutely loved them when I was a kid and I still do now! I can't really pick a favourite song, because they're all great! But one of my favourite videos is one of their last hits, namely "Let's Dance". For this single, Sean had already left the band and the boys do make fun of that fact. But the clip is awesome because of the concept: they're discussing video ideas and every member has it's own view of how the video should turn out. This idea is just hilarious and makes for a great video!
