Indie pop duo Capital Cities was one of THE revelations of 2013, as the entire world sang along to their monster hit "Safe And Sound", even though the track itself already dated back to 2011. A similar scenario is happening with their latest single "I Sold My Bed But Not My Stereo" : the song is a couple of months old, but the video was just released yesterday. The boys do know how to keep us entertained, though. Their music is a nod to the '80s and 90's and that's exactly what they're serving up in the video as well. In the clip, we find ourselves at a yard sale filled with vintage stuff : from cassette tapes to outdated computers, pink flamingo's and old phones. That whole garage must smell like the '80s! When they find a tape of their own song, the American duo gives in impromptu performance, with the aid of some of the other customers. (those 90's jumpers are so ill!) Watch the throwback video below. And can you spot the Disco Stu cameo? ;) |
