It's all about that bass when it comes to George Ezra! His low and penetrating voice is so unique, it still gives me goosebumps everytime. Sometimes I feel like he's right there with me, whispering his lovely melodies into my ear. His latest tune "Listen To The Man" is a rather upbeat, happy-go-lucky song, a welcome change from his previous more moody singles. But the real showstopper here is the music video. It features one very special guest, namely : Gandalf! Euh, I mean Magneto! No, I mean Ian McKellen! :p We see the duo sitting on a bench, as George tries to mouth the words to the camera, but Sir McKellen beats him to the punch. This clip is downright hilarious, not to mention I LOVE Ian's quirky dance moves and adorable pink ribboned fedora. :p Watch the cute little duo below. |

Another monday is upon us, young pediwans! And what better way to start the week than with some George Ezra! At only 20 years-old, he became really famous, really fast, all thanks to his amazing song "Budapest". When I first heard the track, I had something I like to call "an Adele moment", an epiphany if you will. Let me elaborate some more on that :) When I first heard Adele's "Chasing Pavements", I thought about this big beautiful black woman with great pipes, singing her ass off. You can imagine my astonishment when I first saw pictures of Adele, being her amazing self. Makes you think how weird our expectations can be sometimes, linking a particular sound to a particular look. I had this same "Adele"-moment when I heard George Ezra sing. I had a picture in my head of this rugged forty year-old homeless guy with a beard, making a living by singing tunes on the London Tube. Obviously, I was mistaken! ^^ Ezra stopped by our Dutch friends at 3FM Radio this morning. Watch him perform "Budapest" AND cover One Republic's "Counting Stars" below. |
