The Madden Brothers have turned their lives around quite a bit since the Good Charlotte era ended. They've gotten older and settled down, even got married and had babies in Joel's case! Let's just say they grew up. Which means their music also had a little growing up to do. And surprisingly to all, they cleaned up nicely. The first single "We Are Done" had me jiggling in my chair, with the extremely catchy country rockabilly pop sound. Now, a new single has been released and it maintains their new found sound. I was a little worried about the genre flip at first, but the boys dish it out pretty well! "Dear Jane" is a radiofriendly pop rock song, again with a slight country twist. I just want to grab my truck, a can of moonshine and drive around Route 66 with this blasting through the speakers. Both tracks are featured on their upcoming debut album "Greetings From California", out on September 12th. UPDATE : watch the black and white music video of the siblings recording the track in the studio below. |
