Scratch what I said in the previous post about talent shows, because today SOCIAL MEDIA is what truly matters if you want to make a career out of your music. Just look at how Justin Bieber first started out! Ok, maybe that's a bad example, but you catch my drift. ^^ Gathering millions of views on Youtube will definitely get you high up on the charts, but as it turns out Vine is also a great source of musical talent! Even though the videos on Vine are limited to only 6 seconds, the app is super popular amongst social media adepts. The latest act to blow up through Vine is rapping duo Jack And Jack. These two 17-year-olds gathered a huge fanbase on Vine and now they have an actual original song out : "Wild Life". And it's CRAY-ZAY! The track already shot to number 2 on the American Itunes chart, beating out the star studded Jessie J collab "Bang Bang" and Nicki Minaj's "Anaconda"! There's no denying the track is banging and the duo does clearly not shy away from provocative lyrics, judging by the line : "everybody hangin' like a string from a Tampax". That's just a typical Friday afternoon for ya! :p Listen to the party smasher below. |
