For today's Throwback Thursday we're hopping on a plane back to 2006, the year Shakira's hips didn't lie for weeks on top of the charts and the year that The Black Eyed Peas scored big with "Mas Que Nada". But it was also the year where Stacy Ferguson aka Fergie decided to try her luck on a solo basis. Her first album "The Dutchess" was the end result and I liked it! The lead track of the record "London Bridge" remains groovy as hell with that trumpet hook that gets stuck in your head from the getgo. It had a great innovative sound and captured Fergie's sasiness to a tee: from the lyrics to the video. Note to self: I do need to try dancing on a table with just a pair of Union Jack undies on before I die. Come with me across the pond and watch the video below. |
