What better way to start off my favourite day of the week than with some brand spanking new music videos! There are a lot of artists out there with new records to promote, so they're all dropping clips like crayzay. Let's start with Ed Sheeran's video for "Sing". I've been in love with this track since the beat kicked in after 30 seconds. And the video is equally amazing! The clip revolves around a Muppet version of Ed going out on the town. There's strippers, lots and lots of booze, Chinese karaoke and even glitter puking (probably borrowed from Ke$ha's stash) in the bathroom. And of course, Pharrell makes the obligatory little cameo. Check out the insanely amazing video below! |
Just a couple more weeks and the entire world will be wrapped up in the football craze better known as the FIFA World Cup. Brazil is the host country this year and since Columbia is not that far away, Shakira provided one of the soundtracks for the event. "La La La" already had a music video, but the new clip that was released yesterday (in association with Activia) overhauled the old one into a new football friendly version. Of course Shaks hips are prominently featured but famous players like Lionel Messi, boyfriend Gerard Piqué and even their son Milan also make an appearance. It seems like her hubby has thought her some tricks as well: Shakira is damn handy with that ball, haha! :D Watch the exotic new video below! |
While Europe is still high on "Addicted To You", Avicii has already selected the follow up single from his "True" record. And he has chosen wisely! Soon we'll all be singing along to "Lay Me Down", a disco infused party anthem written by Nile Rodgers (yes, him again!) and has vocals by the amazeballs Adam Lambert. Too bad they're both not in the music video, especially since his previous clips had such amazing visuals. Even the cover art is sublime. Just imagine what kind of over the top outfits Adam Lambert could have rocked here! Now it's just Avicii doing his thing behind the decks. Watch the clip in its entirety below. |
I don't know who on earth came up with this, but apparently the internet is abuzz with rumours about Sam Smith's sexual preference. Come on guys, it's 2014, what does it even matter? People should know him for his amazing voice and that is that. But somehow, Sam decided to slightly address those rumours in his new music video for "Leave Your Lover". The title says it all really and the clip portrays the story of this love triangle beautifully. In a love triangle between two men and a woman, you'd expect the men all fighting over that one girl, but here the opposite is true! You can read between that lines that Smith clearly only has eyes for the other guy. The visuals are stunning and handle this touchy subject with subtlety but still obvious enough for everyone to get what it's all about. And without being a spoiler: the final scene is just aaaagh gutwrenching! Watch the emotional video below! |
