I just can't get enough of Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett's "Cheek To Cheek" sideproject! It's a lovely way of making the kids of today aware of the great music from the past. Jazz is such a beautiful genre, way too precious to be overlooked! So cue Lady Gaga's live performance of the classic "Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)", made famous by Nancy Sinatra but originally performed by none other than Cher in 1966! Hence, the über Cher-esque wig she's sporting. This live performance is just utterly amazing AND shot in only one take at Lincoln Center. But wait, there's more! Not only do I have this incredible live version, I also have the official video of Gaga and Bennett's performance in Brussels earlier this week. They both happened to be in the country for a show, so the cutesy couple decided to treat the fans to a show at the Grand Place. Gaga looked stunning in her gold sequined dress and Mr Tony was his dapper stylish self in a suit. Together they performed "Anything Goes", originally performed by the amazing Cole Porter in 1934. Watch and enjoy both performances below. |
